The zine will cover Flayn’s time before the monastery as Saint Cethleann, her life during the events of FE3H (all routes acceptable) and her life post game - as hinted at by her ending cards. All proceeds will go to Ocean Wise, a globally focused conservation organization on a mission to protect and restore the world’s oceans. Through research, education, direct-action conservation and field projects, they empower communities to take action for ocean health.❀ ⊱ ⋆ ✧ ── Contributor Bundle:
Contributors will receive a free PDF of the zine and also have the opportunity to purchase a physical copy of the zine/merchandise at production cost. If funds allow for production costs to be met and for a minimum $250 donation to be made to the charity of our choice, contributors will receive a free physical copy of the zine (shipping not included). The following applies to all contributor application types!❀ ⊱ ⋆ ✧ ── SFW: Slumbering Princess is a SFW zine; when submitting an application, please include a warning should any example included in your art and/or writing portfolio contain NSFW / potentially triggering content.
❀ ⊱ ⋆ ✧ ── Accessible work: Please make sure any files you submit are easily accessible and don't have access to them restricted! Ex. If sharing portoflio through Google Drive, remember to turn link sharing on!
❀ ⊱ ⋆ ✧ ── Alternate Media: If you are a potential contributor who works with alternate media (ex. cosplay, embroidery, etc.), please directly message our twitter account (@FlaynZine) so that we can directly assist you with submitting an application!

Awakened Saint is a digital companion zine designed to feature additional fiction, writing, and artwork focused on Flayn.
✦ Black and White lineart pieces focusing on Flayn, aspects of her life, and her relationships.

Writer Contributor Guidelines.

Due to the digital bonus anthology, Awakened Saint, we are looking for writers for three types of fiction for this zine project! You are welcome to apply with pitches for multiple sections. The requirements are below:✦ ── Slumbering Princess: Short Fiction.
✦ Fiction ranging approximately 1500-2200 words.
✦ Focusing on Flayn, although other characters may be included. These fics should be gen or platonic in nature.
✦ Can explore any time period in Flayn’s history and throughout the game, but should be canon compliant.✦ ── Slumbering Princess: Multimedia and Flash Fiction.
In addition to traditional fics, we are accepting pitches for short (~1 page) artifacts that help us get to know everyone’s favorite saint. Examples include: letters between Flayn and her family, excerpts from historical records on St. Cethleann, tips for fishing in the Garreg Mach pond, or Flayn’s observations on how to interact with Today’s Youths™. Creativity and hybrid genres are encouraged!✦ Short, focused writing, around a page or less.
✦ Canon-compliant and focused on Flayn and her world.
✦ Also accepting flash fiction (under 500 words) and poetry in this category.✦ ── Awakened Saint: Short Fiction.
Awakened Saint is a digital companion zine designed to feature fiction and writing focused on Flayn. We plan to feature 7-9 full stories about Flayn from a variety of timelines and genres.✦ Short fiction of up to 5000 words.
✦ Shipping and fics with a romantic focus allowed, although these fics should take place after the time skip if they feature Garreg Mach students. These fics should be SFW.
✦ Canon-divergent and alternate universe settings allowed.

Writing Application Requirements.

You are allowed to pitch for multiple categories within your application. For all three categories, the application requirements are the same:✦ Three writing samples, under 3,000 words.
✧✧✧✧ At least one should be within the FE3H fandom.
✧✧✧✧ Excerpts allowed (link to google doc rather than Ao3), but at least one should be a completed work.
✧✧✧✧ An optional fourth application slot is included for applicants applying to multiple categories that wish to showcase multiple examples of writing.
✦Up to three pitches for writing you would like to include for the zine. Please specify in your pitch which category/zine you think this piece works for.
